Most, if not all of us, have driven along the motorway towards Mazarrón and then on to the roundabout at the end. As you drive along this road you are faced with mountains almost all around and must have wondered at some time how did it all happen.
The answers seem to fall into a number of categories ranging from “I don’t know” to “It just did!” Occasionally someone will tell you that it was the hand of Creator God. It’s easy to turn away and ignore the question and it is becoming brave to accept that it was God!
There’s a Canadian Christian singer songwriter called Brian Doerksen who wrote these words:
I have felt the wind blow
Whispering Your name.
I have seen your tears fall
When I watch the rain.
How could I say there is no God
When all around creation calls
A singing bird, a mighty tree
The vast expanse of open sea..?
Gazing at a bird in flight
Soaring through the air,
Lying down beneath the stars
I feel Your presence there.
Listening to a river run
Watering the earth,
Fragrance of a rose in bloom
A new-born’s cry at birth.
I believe
I believe
I believe
All around us creation is calling out the name of the Creator.
The Bible tells us in its opening words that God created the heavens and the earth. The very first words written down tell of the power and might of this Supreme Being. The world He created is a truly beautiful place and all-around creation is calling to us.
The songwriter is overawed by the beauty of what he sees and he mentions the glorious beauty of a rose and the incredible wonder of a new-born baby. His only conclusion is to sing the words “I believe”.
Do you believe?
Do you stop and wonder at the beauty all around you and ask yourself “Who created all this?”
Sometimes it takes greater faith to believe in ever-changing science than it does to believe in God!
All around us creation is calling.
All around us the world shouts out the name of almighty God. On his ‘Palm Sunday’ journey into Jerusalem, Jesus told the scoffers that even if the people didn’t shout their Hallelujahs, then the very stones would cry out.
Today those stones still cry out the name of their creator.
Do you believe?
Have you been overawed by something in creation; lakes, mountains, a newborn baby?
At Wellspring Church we firmly believe in the fact that all around us was created by Almighty God and we long to meet together again to declare our worship, praise and adoration to the One who made it all.
The current regulations make it impossible for us to meet together, so until that is possible, once again we join together in our various homes at 11 o’clock on Sunday mornings and we take part in a YouTube service.
Would you like to join us?

Search YouTube for “Wellspring Sunday 4 (or 11, 18 etc) October” and join in our online morning service. You will be very welcome.
The next time you drive towards Puerto de Mazarrón, cast a glance towards the hills and ask yourself – “Do I believe?”
