Hello again.
I hope you are having a good start to the New Year. If you are reading this I guess you have survived the first month!
I read the other day a quote which says we cannot teach our children (and grandchildren) what our parents taught us because that world no longer exists. To paraphrase Steve Jobs [1955–2011]; “It is the crazy ones who think they can change the world, (the round pegs in the square holes), who actually do so because they see things differently.” Jobs of course was the co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple.
There are crazy people who fund huge businesses and make big bucks – mostly controversial characters. There are nutcases who become successful politicians; some more or less OK; some a disaster.
I watched the TV drama on the life of John Stonehouse MP the other night, with how Harold Wilson’s government was brought down. Fast forward to 2023…
Thinking about John the Baptist, the Old Testament prophets, the Main Man himself, Jesus. Seen as crazy, controversial, all certainly round pegs in very square holes; Rebels. I shout “Rock On!” How boring to be square!
God uses the crazies, the rebels, to call out a message to the world: “I love you.” “I love YOU.” Though you can’t/won’t see it, that does not prove I don’t exist. In all your turmoil and confusion; nationally, internationally, personally, my name is Love. I created, I am NOT dead. I am still creating. I AM.
We can view Him through the narrow lens of our life, or we can dare to expand our understanding. Try to. Fly like the eagle or twitter like sparrows at the foot of the mountain. Our choice. It’s never too late to fly.
I would love to hear from you, to help or just talk. Come fly with me…
‘Bye for now and God bless you.
Rev Andrew
