Christmas is coming and the geese are getting fat!

Let’s not think of this year. Soon it will be Christmas Past – perhaps without the festivities, without family, but a vaccine is on the horizon! It may well be a glorious New Year and 2020 will become a difficult memory. Friends, 2021 will be a good year; a very good year!

I reflect on that crib in Bethlehem; no close family, no friends; only animals, shepherds, a Star and the Angel saying “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord.”

For all the people.

That implies unity; for divided Americans, a divided UK, divided Christians. Division seems to be everywhere. There is not much chance of unity happening anytime soon. Oh well, I suppose we can live in hope with gratitude for all the good people who have shown love for their fellow man, the health staff and others who have shown not only their professionalism but their care.

I guess we all need something to believe in; a political party, a treasured way of life, ourselves even. This Christmas we have time to think about that Message from on high, that Christ the Lord was born in a humble place to be our Saviour.

Oh, you may mock that thought. Fine, your choice. No-one can be forced into the Kingdom; it is free choice. That’s what makes the Message so special for me: I came as a tiny babe with no earthly kingdom, only saving Love.

My Father’s Love for a failing world, if you want it.

Hey, looking for a Christmas present?

Look no further, my third book Dark Dawn Falling, a political thriller, will be published in a few weeks and available on Amazon soon. If you or relatives and friends like thought-provoking literature, this one is for you.

In the meantime Happy Christmas, however you have to celebrate it. Maybe have a think about the Angel Message ‘…I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.’ That’s my personal Christmas message for you.
