This Monday, June 28, the registration period for the Summer Schools opens, which this year will have the novelty of allocating 40 places to children with functional diversity. The Councillor for Social Policy, Miguel Ángel Peña, explained that “all children between 6 and 12 years old can sign up until Thursday, July 1, inclusive, by submitting applications to the City Council’s Social Services.”

The schools will be held at the Francisco Caparrós de Mazarrón School and Bahía del Puerto School from July 5 to 30 and from August 2 to 6, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The schools will feature crafts, creative workshops, and games.

In collaboration with the ‘D`Genes’ Association, this year 20 places will be allocated in Mazarrón and 20 in the Port for children with functional diversity between the ages of 3 and 16 years old. The president of the association, Miguel Ángel Ruiz, “is about a commitment to inclusion. A pioneering initiative in the Region of Murcia betting on the same rights of children ”.

Registrations can be collected at the secretaries of both centres and can also be downloaded from the municipal website to be delivered, once completed, to the Social Services of both Mazarrón and Puerto.
