For the Straight Down the Middle’s March competition we found ourselves visiting Altaona Golf on the Mosa Trajectum urbanisation. For those of you that have never played there, it opened up as a nine hole course 3-4 years ago and in that time has had a back nine constructed making it a full 18 hole course. The new back 9 has some interesting holes and provided quite a stern test on the day. The par 5 9th and 12th holes seemed to cause the most problems with 3 lakes to negotiate on each, but everyone seemed to enjoy their day. Our thanks go to all the staff at Altaona for making us feel so welcome and providing us with a challenging day of golf. If you haven’t been it is well worth a visit.
We retired to the Trevi Bar on Camposol for prize giving and much looked forward to chip butties and refreshments. Thanks again to all at Trevi for providing us with a great end to a day’s golf.
