Venue: Aguilon Golf Course
Date: August 19th
It was a beautiful sunny day with a light breeze. The course was in great condition and there was good turnout with 26 players on the day. The scoring format was Stableford Full Handicaps.
The winner in Group A with an outstanding score of 35 points was Mark Bexon and in second place on 33 points was Paul Bartlett.
In Group B the winner was Steve Leason on 42 points and second on 37 points was Barry Baston.
The Nearest to the Pin winner on hole 3 was Paul Bartlett and on hole 12 it was Phil Carpenter.
Scoring was difficult on this challenging course, especially as the greens were quite fast! Well done to all. There were some great golfing performances.
After some liquid refreshment in the clubhouse the prize giving commenced.
The next golf match will have been held at El Valle on 23rd September. Read the report next month. We are always pleased to welcome guests so don’t hesitate to get your friends along to play.
