The January outing to Condado was cancelled due to the unexpected passing of Geoff Sharp on 15th January. Geoff had been a member of Straight Down the Middle for many years, acting as Secretary and Handicap Secretary for many years. He will be missed by all that knew him.
It was proposed at the recent AGM that we have a Geoff Sharp Memorial Cup Golf Day later this year. The details of this event will be announced later in the year.
The AGM was well attended and we held a minutes silence as a mark of respect for our recently departed member Geoff. A report on the AGM will be issued at a later date.
The next golf match will have been held at La Marina near Mojacar on January 26th. We are always pleased to welcome new members and guests so don’t hesitate to get your friends along to play.
