For the Straight Down the Middle Golf March competition we found ourselves in the familiar surroundings of Altorreal Golf Club. This was the third time we have played the course in the past 9 months and it plays differently each time. Our previous visit found the typical very fluffy rough that stops your ball dead. However, on this visit the rough had been trimmed and it allowed the ball to run a little more if you were not straight down the middle, so it was more forgiving, leading to some better scoring. As always the course was in fantastic condition and the reception we received from the staff was top notch. After the first properly sunny day of playing 18 holes, I for one was looking forward to a cold beer and chip butty back at Trevi Bar on Camposol where we held our prize giving. Thanks go to all the staff and management for their hospitality.
