Venue: Hacienda del Alamo Hotel and Spa Golf Resort

What a great venue for our June 26th outing. The morning started out rather cloudy and overcast, but after a few hours things soon brightened up.

Geoff Sharp had new society shirts to distribute among members which prompted a few new orders, followed by a debate as to what size was best.

The course was in great condition. A good many members were playing this course for the first time, so there were a few nerves on the first tee. There were 24 players which was a good turnout. The scoring format was Stableford Full Handicaps.

The Overall Winner with a score of 33 points was Jim Niblo, closely followed by John Charlesworth on 30 and John Brown on 29.

Nearest the Pin on the 8th was won by John Brown. No-one got near the green on the 15th.

We hadn’t played at Hacienda for some time. However this has to be one of the most challenging courses around and we cannot wait to return. After some liquid refreshment in the clubhouse the prize giving commenced as our end of year dinner and cup presentation was cancelled last year. Not only were the prizes for the day awarded, but the trophies were also awarded for last year.
