Remember that there are turtles swimming in the Mediterranean!! Let’s take care of sea turtle nests! If you see any nests, call 112, but in the meantime do not touch them, do not make any noise near them, do not use cameras with a flash and move out of their field of vision.

Las Ermitas Walking Path Encircling Lorca Castle
This new 9km walking route connects the entire perimeter of Lorca Castle, starting in Parque de las Mujeres, ending at the San Lázaro viewpoint. The new walkway provides a picturesque and healthy walking route with freshly planted pine and oak trees and plants such as lavender and rosemary. Stairs built with sleepers and wooden railings make it easy for walkers to see beautiful views of Lorca and the surrounding area. Parking is available at the Parque de las Mujeres, Calle Sor Matilde García.

For families with children – The old town of Lorca hides a lot of history. Get ready for a fun visit full of surprises with your family every 1st Saturday of the month at 5pm March-May and October-December; 8pm June-September. 

Sunday 13th August (5pm) – 2hr Guided Tour of Historic Lorca. The tour includes a free visit to one of the Embroidery Museums which exhibits items worn during Semana Santa processions. 2€. 11.30am.

Set up in June 2018 with a small group running the 5k Mojácar Paseo, all ages, nationalities and speeds are welcome, whether permanent residents or holiday makers. Most sessions are followed by a post-activity coffee, cake or breakfast, depending on the time of day.
