Thursday 1st June – Bernada Alba Musical @ New Circus Theatre 8.30pm
After the death of her second husband, Bernarda imposes a rigorous 8-year mourning period on her five daughters, forcing them to be totally isolated from society. Within this oppression, Angustias, her eldest daughter, becomes engaged to Pepe El Romano. This triggers the main theme: authority versus the desire for freedom. Adela, the youngest daughter, has a secret relationship with Pepe, which causes a conflict that leads to a tragic end.
