The month of January saw the gardening group regroup after the Christmas break, with the work focused on tidying up the Memorial Gardens, ensuring Santa got to the North Pole safely and taking down the Christmas lights. The main work was on installing a 3 metre diameter patio-paving circle, donated by a resident on Sector D. Thanks to Brian and Dave for laying the patio slabs.

The month of February will see the team pruning the shrubs, trees and cactus on Calle Esparraguera and generally tidying up the Calle, before moving onto the area adjacent to the Petanque courts.

The team received donations of two very large planters, statues and of course the patio-paving circle from local residents and wishes to thank them for the donations. They have been installed and look lovely in their new home. Sadly some idiots have stolen two of the outer slabs, this is both annoying and disappointing but a solution has been found and the patio completed.

Of course all our work is funded through the weekly Friday collection by the Sector D Community and Gardening Group and we would like to thank all those residents who give so generously. Please continue to do so in order for us to keep Sector D looking so well.
