On June 7, the patron saint festivities began in honour of San Antonio in Cañada de Gallego. A programme that will last until Tuesday, June 13 and that has been announced by the acting Councillor for Celebrations Miguel Ángel Peña, the acting Pedáneo Francisco José Valera and the Cañada de Gallego Festival Commission. On Thursday the Proclamation will take place by María Lorente Navarro and after that the Queen of the Fiestas and the Children’s Queen will be elected, the night will end with the concert by Los Luisos and Dj Ruby. On Friday, the programming includes children’s games, a tribute to Mecano, a migas contest and music by Dj Ruby. On Saturday, the II Surfcasting Fishing Day will be held, and at night a concert by Lati2s and Dj Mateo will take place. On Sunday, June 11, you can enjoy the II Concentration of Classic Cars “San Antonio”, free paella, flan contest, throwing a hammer, team rope shooting, tasting local dishes and a concert by Los de la Juana. On Monday the 12th there will be a 2×1 fair, Cantacircus, an exhibition of the De Rosa Dance School and at night a Tribute to Manolo García “IDEM” and Dj Ruby. The festivities will end on June 13 with Holy Mass and Communions, a procession of the patron saint San Antonio, a concert by Maribel Castillo and the comedian Carlos Luna.
