What Is The Gospel? – The Good news of Jesus Christ
The gospel message starts in Genesis right through to Revelation when God created the whole world including you and me. It was so that we could have a relationship with him and worship him through all eternity.
The struggle there is now between God and humankind came through Adam and Eve’s disobedience (sin) to God’s command. The battle with the image of God within us is continued in Genesis 1 verses 27: “God created man in His image. In the image of God He created him; male and female He created them”.
In verse 28 God told them to be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. Genesis 1 verse 24 says: “That for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife and they will become one flesh.” This is an impossibility with 2 men or 2 woman in a relationship which God “Allows by them abandoning natural relations” through their own decision, which leads them away from God’s original plan, design, purpose and truth about themselves Romans 1 verses 26-27.
Outward appearances do not change your DNA!!
In Genesis 1 verse 38, God tells them to rule over every living thing in the sea and on land. He ordained it right from the beginning of creation.
Today’s climate change and care of the world call is not new, but a challenge to all from its Creator. Romans 8 verse 27: “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.”
The best way to care for all creation is to know its Creator which is only possible through His Son Jesus Christ.
Colossians 1 verses 15-20: “He, Jesus, is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created in Heaven and on Earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers, rulers or authorities. All things were created by Him and for Him. He is before all things and in Him all things hold together and He is the head of the body; the Church. He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead so that in everything, He might have the supremacy. For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on Earth or things in Heaven by making peace through Jesus’s blood shed on the cross”.
2 Corinthians 5 verse 15: “He, Jesus, died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.”
2 Corinthians 7 verse 10: “Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.”
Romans 4 verses 7-8: “Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man or woman whose sin the Lord will never count against Him.”
This is the whole purpose of creation, the universe and you and me, to know the true and living God, who created, maintains and sustains all things.
Revelation 22 verse 21: “The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people.”
Amen.
