Protectora Animales Perros del Sol (PAPS) runs a small independent shelter, Casa del Sol, situated just outside the village of El Mirador, Murcia. They do not receive any council funding, so rely entirely on kind donations from the public and supporters.
Most of their dogs find themselves in Casa del Sol after being dumped in the campo, or surrendered by their previous owners for a variety of reasons. They stay in the rescue centre until PAPS find them new forever homes. They never put healthy dogs down.
The dogs are only locked in kennels overnight and have the luxury of being able to play and socialise freely with the other dogs (as long as they are compatible) during the day. There are many lovely dogs – like Enzo – that really need loving homes. Who wouldn’t love this gorgeous shaggy face?
A stunning German Shepherd-X, Enzo was born 22/09/18. He is affectionate with people, social with other dogs and his favourite hobbies are playing ball, food and Scooby snacks!
