Following our previous appeal for toys for our dogs, we’d like to thank all those who kindly donated … lots to keep our budding ball-fans busy, and some tough food activity toys for the bored. All are much appreciated and will hopefully be soon put to good use in the shelter.
We hope that this will be a big, exciting year for PAPS as we work towards building our new shelter; to this end, we’re always open to cash donations both for it, and to help with our running costs, but also if anyone has any bricks, tiles, wood, wire fencing, corrugated metal material etc lying around, anything that could be used in building kennels – all would be gratefully received. As usual, we could always use old towels, blankets (please note though nothing with foam filling), if anyone is having a clear-out.
It wasn’t such a happy beginning to the New Year for some dogs, who lost their homes through sad and painful circumstances for all concerned:
Canela and Blanca had a happy, loving home with an elderly couple who lost their business through the Covid pandemic and then their home, so have had to move in with family, they were heartbroken to have to part with their two companions.
Canela is nearly 9 years old (born 12/02/13), a GS-mix. She was very confused about her change of circumstances and was shy and reserved for the 1st couple of days but now she gently gives her head for a stroke. Is house trained, walks well on a lead, so far not cat tested. It would be nice to find a home for her along with Blanca as they have been together a long time.
Blanca is an irresistible little darling, 8 yrs old (born 15/08/13), a very friendly, happy soul who loves attention and cuddles, is house trained, walks well on a lead but also not yet cat tested. We would really love to find a home that would take both Blanca and Canela, to keep them together, so if anyone has the space and would like 2 well-mannered, sweet-natured and mature companions, please e-mail:
