The month of November is a time of Remembrance; “Lest We Forget”; a time when we remember those who have given their lives in conflict for our freedom.

As I write this today, my husband Arthur is in hospital awaiting an operation. He has been very ill, but we are hopeful that the skill of the doctors here will help him to a full recovery.

I am reminded of the wonderfully uplifting words from John 14:27 –

“Peace I leave with you.
My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Many of us are troubled right now because of this pandemic, but the words of our Lord Jesus Christ tell us that we are not on our own. These words have been a great comfort to me and I have been so blessed and encouraged. Thank you to all our dear friends who are praying and giving practical support to me. Hopefully, Arthur will be writing to you for the December issue.

We are still unable to meet at the Social Centre on Camposol B at this time, but if you wish to contact us, please ring 659 270 885

God bless you all
