Here in Camposol and surrounding areas, there are many retired people who served in the armed forces and who have members of the family still serving today.  I myself and my wife are both ex-Royal Navy and a number of both our families have served and are still serving in the armed forces. We send this prayer to all of them today:

“O God of truth and justice, we hold before You those men and women who have died in active service in World wars and in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere.  As we honour their courage and cherish their memory, may we put our faith and hope in You, for You are the source of life and hope

We serve a God of love as can be seen in John Chapter 13 verse 34:

“So I give you now a new commandment: Love each other just as much as I have loved you.”

Many joined the service to demonstrate love through military vigilance and self sacrifice. We are grateful to the service of these great heroes and we will be holding a Remembrance Service at 10.30am on Sunday 10th November at the Social Centre, Camposol B. All are welcome to come and join us and find out about how much God loves you.

We serve communion each week and tea and coffee will be served afterwards.

We are part of the Free Methodist Church and have charitable status.
