It will be February when you read this and of course what do thoughts turn to in that cold bleak month? – something to warm the heart of course St Valentine’s Day – the time when people buy huge cards for each other and the flower shops do a roaring trade. My wife used to be a florist and she said it was amazing what men would pay for flowers, especially roses the day before St Valentine’s Day.

There will of course be all the local restaurants doing St Valentine’s Day specials and that will be the time when the love of your life feels just a little bit more special than she or he usually does. What must never be forgotten though is that we are made to feel a little bit more special every day of every year when we realise just how much we are loved by our Lord and Saviour.

Just think of the one verse that sums it all up in John Chapter 3 verse 16

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Isn’t that a wonderful thought and the most amazing thing is that you can put your name instead of ‘the world’ and see how that reads. For example God so loved Bill etc etc.

It can be personal to you if you only ask Jesus into your life.
