We are a local, legal animal charity based near Camposol A. We have horses, donkeys, dogs, cats, rabbits, tortoises and pigs, with more and more animals arriving all the time. Our mission is to never turn away an animal in need if we are contacted.

We finally have a storage shed! A lovely lady by the name of Sandra Swarbrick on Mazarrón Country Club has very kindly donated a large shed which is now in situ. This will mean that our precious tools, most of which have been donated, can now be protected from the elements. This is welcome news indeed. We still want further storage facilities, but it is a wonderful start.
Fund-Raising
Our nextRaffle will be at Cat’s Bar where we will again be in attendance on 2nd December and the act will be ‘Marsi, I love the 80’s’. Starting with Bernie Mac at 2pm, with live music at 3pm, it should be a great event. You can reserve a seat for just €2.
Sponsor An Animal At Christmas
One of the best ways to help the animals and to get to know them is by sponsorship. We already have a number of people who sponsor their favourite animal, paying a monthly fee directly into our bank. Not only are sponsors kept updated on their animal’s progress, but they can enjoy special ‘visiting rights’ which may include grooming etc.

End Of Year Summary
It is good to look back and reflect on successes, failures and achievements as we come to the end of the year. We think we have made some real progress in the last 6 months. We have a regular working party of between 7 and 14 dedicated and reliable helpers who all pitch in with cleaning, grooming and feeding. The animals are all looking happy and healthy. Our fund raisers have raised close to €2,000 by running a few events locally, but we need far more financial help as our expenses are enormous – in excess of €5,000 per month. We do not have a charity shop and most of the running costs are still being met by Juan and Yolanda from their own private salaries. This cannot continue long term, so we need much more regular income. Please consider Teaming or Sponsorship. It makes a huge difference. Currently, our teaming and sponsors bring in around €254 per month. It is a good start, but that is all that we currently have.
Our Christmas Lottery is nearly upon us, so please consider buying a ticket available from The Sanctuary during weekend sessions.
