Just a few minutes from Camposol sector A is OAS. Otto Animal Sanctuary. Juan and Yolanda have rescued a number of horses, donkeys, pigs, dogs, cats, chickens and rabbits, all from dreadful situations.
This animal sanctuary is a legally registered charity and extremely costly to maintain. There are a number of ways which you can help.
Sponsor your favourite resident
From as little as €3 per month please consider sponsoring one of our residents. You can really get to know your chosen animal and become involved with regular visits, and have a personal relationship – it`s so very rewarding.
Teaming
Please consider “teaming”. From just €1 per month, (less than the price of a cup of coffee) you can really make a difference. We have over 150 teamers so at least we can guarantee that regular income, but we need more, much more please.
The weather has not been kind to us, so please let us hope that the long, wet period we have recently experienced is finally over. The cost of feed is rocketing and we need all the financial help we can get.
Please consider holding a small fund-raising event on our behalf, perhaps just a coffee morning you’re your friends. We would be so very grateful.
Horse Feed
To give you an example, a large bag of oats that was just over €6.00 a year ago is now €19.50. We understand that everyone is “feeling the pinch” financially but the future is a little “bleak”. Not only is the cost of grain-based products rocketing, but any cereals are going to become harder to source. The situation in The Ukraine is only making the problem worse than ever.
