New workshops will try to promote art, creativity and new technologies through 2 programmes of artistic and technological content for young people between the ages of 9 and 14.

The Youth Council has proposed 2 activities for the youngest, which will take place during the months of May and June. On the one hand, every Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., young people will be able to enjoy the technological workshop where they will learn applied robotics, drone flight, carry out experiments, 3D printing and programme a video game.

On the other hand, a series of 8-hour plastic arts workshops have been presented, of which two will be developed, the most requested by minors, and will be carried out one in May and another in June with the schedule from 5pm-7pm every Thursday. The venue for both workshops will be the Mazarrón Cultural Centre and places will be limited to the available capacity, complying with current health regulations. The cost of each of them will be € 10 per month.

The Councillor for Youth, Silvia García, explained that “these workshops will try to restore dynamism, motivation and self-esteem to young people, favouring the entry into youth in the most harmonious way possible” and stressed that “together with the sports activities will improve the offer to youths in the Municipality ”.
