We at MAMAS hope this finds you all well.

Hopefully you are having a great summer and taking care. Don’t forget to leave water out for the birds and please make sure you walk your pets early morning or late evening – not forgetting the five second floor test. If it is too hot for your hand then it’s too hot for your pet’s paws!

Because of staff shortages and the extreme heat we had to reduce our opening times, but in September we should be open Wednesday to Saturday 11.00am-2.00pm.

In August we helped with the treatment of the very handsome Niebla. Thanks to the love and vigilance of the owner who spotted the dog retching and looking poorly, they then whisked said pet to Paco our vet in Puerto de Mazarrón, and the dog was saved. She had the dreaded parvo and had to stay in hospital for 5 days. This disease is a killer and Niebla was very lucky. She is recuperating and hopefully feeling better. Come and see us when you feel better Niebla!

As well as our monthly plea for help from a lovely volunteer, we need your donations; clean clothes, small working electricals, any working white goods, bric-a-brac, bedding and furniture.

The car park visits stopped through the summer season due to staff on holiday and the hot weather, but if you contact us we will arrange to collect items (large or small) from you when convenient.

If we haven’t seen you for a while, why not pay us a visit? The shop is situated in Puerto de Mazarrón. Driving past Lidl down towards Consum, turn left and then drive a short distance to the third road on the left, Calle San Juan. We are situated on the left hand side.

Look after yourselves and hopefully see you soon.
