This cat was found lying injured on the Paseo with a badly broken leg probably having fallen from a balcony. The young man who found him couldn’t trace the owner so he decided to keep him. Unfortunately he could not afford the expensive operation needed, so he came to MAMAS for help. We were able to assist and now even with one slightly wonky leg he gets about quite happily. We think he should be called Lucky.
How do we do this?
To raise money we sell items donated in our shop. We are entirely reliant on your generous donations. As all our volunteers give their time and travel freely, you can be sure that all the money raised from your donations will go towards running the charity and helping the animals. Not one cent is taken in wages or salary!
How You Can Help Us
To do this we need your unwanted items. You may donate anything from a single item up to a house clearance. (We will collect larger items). At the moment we are desperately short of small household items, so don’t throw anything away; just drop it off at the shop or on Camposol B car park on Tuesdays.
You can donate at the shop, Mon to Sat 10am-2pm.
Due to some of our long serving volunteers needing to take it easier, we are looking for new people to help out, so if you can spare even just one morning a week and enjoy meeting people and want a new interest, please contact us. Just call in for a coffee and a chat and get to know us.
The shop is in Puerto de Mazarrón, past the Mercadona/Lidl shopping centre down towards the port. Just down the hill you will see the new Consum supermarket on your left. Turn left into the road immediately below Consum, drive up that road and we are in the third turning on the left (Calle San Juan) opposite the park on your right.
Camposol Drop-Off Point
Every Tuesday we are on Camposol B car park 10am-12pm opposite the petrol station. We can collect items from you there or arrange collection.
