Now Spring is approaching us very quickly and we are looking forward to some warmer weather, we are preparing to display our Spring/Summer clothes in our shop in Puerto de Mazarrón.
We have had a fairly quiet February with not so many customers or donations. However, it seems to be picking up a little. We thank all our supporters who still made an effort to call in at Camposol A to give donations, even though the weather was cold. We are in the car park on Camposol A every Tuesday between 10am-12pm.
MAD made donations to two schools in the local area; CE Pri Gines Garcia Martinez and AMPA CEIP Francisco Caparros with a cheque for 2,000€ each. Caparros are going to use the money to replace window blinds and Gines Martinez are going to use it to put a fence round the garden that they made with money we donated previously and also purchase an aircon unit. We are also donating a cheque to Caritas for their Food Bank with help, once again from Alen at the Camposol A Supermarket. This will be a regular donation, as the Council inform us that there are many families that still need this assistance.
We would like to thank the lady who donated £100 to us which we converted to Euros to enable us to use to help others.

MAD recently held a Volunteers’ meeting where we discussed the need to find other worthwhile causes also to make donations. We are appealing to our supporters to let us know of anyone who they think is a worthy cause and where we could Make a Difference to help them.
In April we will begin to put out our summer clothing, so do come along to see us and start replacing your winter wardrobe. We are still in need of furniture as our sponsors Furniture Plus have now closed. If there are any other local furniture shops who would be happy to donate any furniture to us that they collect when they deliver new items, we would be very grateful. Are there any Estate Agents who would be able to help if they hear of any house clearances? This would be most welcome. We can advertise any sponsors on our van. We are of course able to collect any donations.
Our Volunteers continue to do an amazing job. It is hard work and time-consuming and we would like to thank them all for their time and effort and naturally their friendship in order to help those less fortunate in our area and to Make a Difference to many families, especially the children in all the schools we have helped over the past few years. Thanks also goes to all those who have supported us on a regular basis over the past 15 years that this Charity has been in existence and continue to do so.
