Providing practical help and support to those that need us
MABS is available to anyone of any nationality who needs help as a result of:
Being diagnosed with cancer.
Affected by a spouse or partner having cancer.
Bereavement due to cancer.
Needs respite from spouse or partner with cancer.
MABS can provide:
Transport with driver to take patients to and from hospitals.
Translators to ensure the diagnosis is fully understood.
Home carers to provide additional care when needed.
Respite and Hospice care in our Respite Home.
Medical equipment on loan to patients.
1-2-1 counsellors.

How you can help:
Volunteers needed!
We always need more volunteers in various roles:
In particular we desperately need Patient Drivers to drive patients to their appointments. Agreed expenses are paid.
Van workers to help our crews collect and deliver furniture in the local area.
Running reception in our Respite Home.
Helping in our Shop in Totana (car share available from Camposol B.

Recent Fundraising
Ascot Ladies’ Day on June 22nd at La Nueva Taberna, MCC raised an amazing 1,800€. Music was provided by The Harlequins Rock Choir, the amazing voice of Reke and Derek Miles who provided brilliant supporting music and sound tracks. A shout out to the ladies from our Charity Shop in Totana for the modelling duties.
Charity Quiz & Raffle at The Diner, Camposol B raised 230€, so a big thank you to all who supported us and to Jay and his team.
Future Events
MABS Craft Group
On the first Friday of every month the MABS Mazarrón Craft Group meet at the Diner & Bar, Camposol B from 11am-2pm with quality hand crafted cards and gifts.
Family Fun Day – Thursday 31st August at Camposol Club de Golf. Details to be announced.
Santander to Madrid Cycle Challenge – 23rd-30th September
This year the mad cyclists will be riding from Santander to Madrid; a gruelling 425 km. The 5 day challenge is being undertaken by Lee McGovan, Paul Thomas, Steve Malcolm and John Pate who is new to the team. The support vehicle this year is being provided by NightHawk Couriers. Sponsorship forms are available at Tel’s Bar, Camposol A and MABS Respite Home, or you can sponsor at donate@mabscancersupport.org
World Cancer Coffee Morning – 29th September – venue to be announced.

If you can help
We are always in need of furniture, clothes, bedding, bric-a-brac and books for our Charity Shop in Avenida Juan Carlos I, Totana (books on the bookcases in Alley Palais, Camposol B).

We also have drop off points for smaller items at The Club House, Camposol C, MABS Respite Home, Alley Palais, Camposol B and ASSSA office at La Pirámide Center, Puerto de Mazarrón.
