World Cancer Day – Día Mundial contra el Cáncer

World Cancer Day is an international day on 4 February to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment.  We are delighted that this year as reported in La Verdad de Murcia, JOSÉ ANTONIO MARTÍNEZ LOZANO, the Head of Palliative Care in the Murcia Region, felt that the work carried out by the MABS volunteers was worthy of a mention on such an important day.

How you can help:

Volunteers – We always need more hands (as it were) to help out in various roles, so if you can spare a few hours and would like to help we would love to see you.  It’s very rewarding work and makes a huge difference to those that need our help.

Shop workers – various roles in our shop in Totana. There is a car share available from Camposol B

Work on reception at the Respite Home

Van workers/drivers – collecting and delivering furniture etc. in the local area.

Patient drivers – driving patients to their appointments, expenses paid if you use your own car.

Just phone 634 362 954, email or call into our Respite Home on Avenida de Los Covachos 278 on Camposol B2.

Collections:  Furniture and larger items?   Message MABS Charity Shop Totana or Phone 634 313 478 to arrange collection.

Smaller items? We have donation ‘boxes’ for clothes, bric a brac, etc. in our Respite Home, Alley Palais and The Club House on Camposol
