New Sierra Match Report
Los Reyes played their August fixture at New Sierra in very warm conditions, especially after the wind dropped at lunch time. The course was in very good condition and, as usual, the toasted bacon sandwiches were excellent.
There were some very good scores in both divisions.
With an excellent score of 35 points the winner of Division 1 was Cameron Dickie, closely followed by Gary Aherne on 34 points and Ken Blakeman on 30 points.
With an impressive score of 35 points Mick Shea won Division 2 and will gratefully receive a handicap reduction as well as promotion to Division 1! Paul Western was a close runner up on 33 points and Ian Murphy had 30 points.
Nearest the Pin winners on the par 3s were Malcolm Archibald (3rd), Mick Shea (6th) and Roger Olorenshaw (12th).
