La Torre Resort was the venue for our February competition. Fears that 4 recently reseeded greens were unplayable were unfounded as they were to the same standard as the rest.
Scoring was high, none more so than our Division One winner Trevor Nicholadis who swept everyone else aside coming in with 43 points off his 18 handicap. The downside for Trevor is that in our next competition at Altorreal, society rules means he will be playing off 14!
Division Two actually had 2 winners; Karen Jones came in with 32 points to win a case of Leffe beer and a sleeve of Titliest. As a non-beer drinker, Karen passed the beer onto her husband Kevin.
Our 6 Nearest the Pin winners were: Terry Brown, who hits a golf ball further than mere mortals could ever dream of; Phil Atkinson, Trevor Nicholadis, Colin Meridith, Gerry McRobert and Captain Neil MacFarlane.
Special mention must go to our Handicap Secretary Terry Rooke who spent more time in bunkers than Hitler!
