La Serena Match Report
Los Reyes held their November fixture at one of the more difficult courses we play on; La Serena. The early start was chilly and damp, but the weather turned very warm and pleasant. The players enjoyed the lovely weather, but the water features were sited in the most inconvenient places!
There were some excellent scores in both divisions. Kevin Jones ran out winner of Division 1 with a very good score of 37 points, closely followed with 35 points by Mick Shea.
With an excellent score of 39 points Gary Ahearne won Division 2 and will, as a result, receive a substantial handicap reduction as well as a definite promotion to Division 1. Peter Kirke was runner up in Division 2 with a score of 36 points. Hans Hedendahl had another good day with a score of 35 points.
Nearest the Pin winners on the par 3s were Dave Mitchell (3rd), Mark Palmer (9th), Mick Shea (15th) and Neil Macfarlane (17th).
