Our volunteers continue to help keep Los Palacios looking so well, but we are appealing to all drivers to please slow down when approaching our workers. It’s amazing how fast some people drive around our area without due care for our elderly, children, pets and workers and sometimes with disregard for those using the zebra crossings.
Please drive with care and show respect to pedestrians.

There have been sightings of processionary caterpillars in various locations on Los Palacios, so please take care when out and about, especially with your pets. We have been eradicating nests regularly, but if we have missed any please contact us and we will attend to them as a matter of urgency.

Many of you will have heard of Danielle who is a young mum with terminal cancer living on Camposol. Some of her friends are getting together a ‘Ground Force’ team , as seen on TV, to help clear Danielle’s garden so she can enjoy the spring and summer with her children and family whilst getting a much needed boost of Vitamin D. Many of the local gardening groups have been asked to help and our group is delighted to be involved in this. The work should take place on 8th March and if you can afford some time and effort please contact Carl or myself.

We are running a Trip to Benidorm on 27th March with the bus leaving Mariano’s at 9am. Tickets can be purchased from Lorna and Pat on a Friday morning between 10am and 12pm at the library. This trip usually fills up quickly so don’t delay in booking your place.

We are always looking for more volunteers and even 1 hour of your time each week is a great help. Contact myself or any volunteer on how you can help your local community gardening group.
The Library ladies would appreciate any donations of jigsaws in particular as the stock is almost depleted.

Thank you for all your donations and support, especially on Thursdays at our bucket collections and Fridays at our libraries.

Keep up to date with all happenings and events on our Facebook page, Los Palacios Gardening and Community Group.
