Well slowly but surely we seem to be moving forward towards a more ‘normal’ situation. With the end of the state of alarm and an ease on the socialising restrictions, albeit with some limits, we can now meet up to have a meal with friends. There is still some way to go yet until there is worldwide travel allowed, but hopefully the situation will improve soon so we can visit our families in other countries.

I am pleased to say that the distribution of vaccines has now speeded up. I think the majority of Camposol residents have now been vaccinated which is good news. We might have had to queue!!! But I have to say that the Mazarrón Health Workers did an excellent job in dealing with so many people in one day.
On 17th April the Memorial Garden was used for the Memorial Service for Prince Philip who died on 9th April. This area is a focal point for people to gather when they wish to hold a service of remembrance and we are grateful to Bob and Dave who maintain this area and keep it looking nice.

Our volunteers continue to go out regularly, maintaining the area which includes trimming the trees, weeding, mowing, emptying the bins in the Memorial Garden, clearing up litter generally and keeping the Post Room clean and tidy. Tony has re-fitted the light on the steps leading down to the post room.

In addition to our normal weekly routine we have a ‘blitz’ on certain areas throughout the year and in May this was done at the bottom end of People’s Park. This additional work is done on a Sunday morning when our volunteers join together to concentrate on one area that needs special attention.
Our Bucket Collection is held outside Tel’s on a Thursday morning and we appreciate any contributions. Our Library is open every Friday from 10am-12.30 pm.
If you wish to contact us, our email is lospalaciosgardening@icloud.com and we have a post box in the Post Room on Los Palacios under number 915 Los Palacios Gardening Group.
We thank you all for your continued support.
