Well at last there has been a change in the weather. Hopefully we can now look forward to summer and being outside enjoying the sunshine and the warm evenings.  It is nice to see the bars busy again and there has been an influx of visitors coming to Camposol to enjoy their holiday homes.

Our volunteers have been out regularly every week endeavouring to keep our area tidy.  The weeds are an ongoing big problem. Especially after all the rain and we are having to spend quite a lot of money on weed killer to keep them under control. Our “Palm Troopers” have been out cutting back the trees. You will have hopefully noticed the trees on the Commercial Centre have had a cut back and now look better. Alan continues to keep our post room clean and tidy, and maintains the locks.

You may not realise that the nice area outside the Doctors Surgery is maintained and weeded by our volunteers. Also, the emptying of the bins both at the surgery and throughout the memorial park (which are used by the dog walkers) are emptied every week by a member of the group.

Our library continues to open every Friday from 10 am to 12.30 and we have a wide selection of books. Everybody is welcome to use the library and all we ask for is a small donation.

All monies donated are used to purchase equipment, weed killer, and maintain our vehicle which is needed to clear the rubbish.

As you will have seen in the previous issue, we are organizing a Jubilee Summer Ball and we are absolutely delighted at the response. I will be able to report on this in the next issue.

We are always looking for new members so if you have some spare time and would like tol join our group you will be most welcome.

As always, we thank you for your continued support.
