With the lovely weather continuing into November our Volunteers have been able to continue going out regularly every week to maintain our area. The Palm Troopers have been trimming the palms and cutting back the trees. Work has also been done in the Memorial Park. A thank you to Paula for providing us with some much-needed equipment.
We had a ‘Blitz’ clean-up on Sunday 6th November. This is something we do on a regular basis every 3 months, but always every November in order to tidy up the Memorial Garden and Park in readiness for the Remembrance Service. There was a good turn out and a lot of clearing up was done. A big thank you to the volunteers on D Sector for attending the garden on the Monday to clear up some of the garden waste which we had not had time to clear on the Sunday.

A Remembrance Service was held on Sunday 13th November.

This was organised by Los Palacios Garden Group, Ex Servicemen’s Mazarrón Branch, St Nicholas Church, and the English Funeral Director. It was well attended, and our President laid a wreath on our behalf.
We are now planning events for December including Christmas. We will be having a Christmas Party on Saturday 10th December at 1pm. This will be held outside Cat’s Bar, Tel’s Bar and Rendezvous. There will be Santa’s Grotto for the children which will be free. There will also be a Grand Raffle. Tickets will be on sale from the bars up to the date of the party. Entertainment will be provided by Wild Cats. Hopefully, the weather will be kind us.
Our Library is open every Friday from 10am-12.30pm. This is situated in the car park on Camposol A just down from Rendezvous.
If you have any spare time, please think about joining our group. We can be contacted via the information above.
