Los Infiernos Perrera Supporters work tirelessly to try and rehome the dogs from the Perrera. There is also collaboration with other rescue centres.

One such collaboration is with a shelter situated in Lithuania:
Linksmosios Pedutes is in Klaipeda by the seaside. It’s a shelter that typically homes cats and dogs and they get all the care they need. Not only do they get good quality food and shelter, but they also get physical and mental exercises daily. With the help of Ema, a dog behaviourist who studied at Cambridge, they always try to solve behavioural issues of the dogs. Their dogs visit the beach at least once a week and enjoy the sand under their paws.

This shelter knows their dogs and wants to find the best forever homes possible and see their ex-shelter dogs and cats living their best lives. The regulations regarding dogs classed as dangerous here, are different in Lithuania and many of our more, (how shall I put it?), sturdier looking dogs, have found fantastic homes in Lithuania. All of this made possible by one of our volunteers Laima, who with her daughter, make all the arrangements.
The photo to the right and above are a couple of photos of some of our lucky dogs in Lithuania:
Meanwhile, one of our long-term residents is still waiting. He has been featured before; a big old lad who really needs a home of his own and a comfy bed. He’s recently been tested with cats and passed with flying colours, but he would need to be homed as an only dog. He has highly sponsored travel to the UK and Europe.

Chesse – Cross Breed
DOB: 01/JAN/10
Cat Friendly: Yes
Date of arrival: December 2019
Chesse is an older dog and is a clear example of abandonment. He is a quiet boy and we think he did not escape, but was abandoned. Chesse arrived very sad with a broken heart. He was discovered one day in an area where the residents left him for just a few days to see if anyone came for him, but nobody did. Chesse is still sad and his face is the mirror of the soul and his is damaged. He is sociable, very calm and needs to leave soon. Older dogs are very vulnerable in a cold, wet and hard cage.
Fund Raising

We would like to thank The Garrison in Los Alcazares for organizing a fundraising event in May. It was a joint event with another rescue and a great way to socialise; for the volunteers to get a little bit dressed up with no doggy smells.
A lovely afternoon tea was served and a percentage of the ticket price was donated to the two charities, along with funds raised from the raffle.

Our PayPal address is losinfiernosdogs@gmail.com and by using the Friends And Family Option (very important), LIPS get the full donation. We accept donations in Euros and Sterling. Any donation, no matter how small, is greatly appreciated.
For details of available dogs, please contact the Perrera via the Facebook page Los Infiernos Perrera Supporters, or email losinfiernosdogs@gmail.com
Dog Walkers are always needed; Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday mornings from 9am-1pm.
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and man.
