International Women’s Day 2023
In partnership with Mojácar Town Hall, DCM and Platino Gym and Los Bandidos, a run, jog and walk was organized along the Paseo in Mojácar. 280 registered to run, jog and walk. The event raised 897€ for the local branch of the Red Cross in Mojácar. Trophies were awarded to the top three in the male and female categories. Steve Murton, representing Los Bandidos, was the first person over the line. It was a very warm day, but water and food, donated by the Town Council and Red Cross, were plentiful, including a giant paella.
Los Bandidos was set up in June 2018 with a small group running the 5k Mojácar Paseo, and now has road cycling, sea swimming and triathlon groups. All ages, nationalities and speeds are welcome, whether permanent residents or holiday makers.
