Following our annual break during the very hot month of August, 28 members of Los Amigos Golf Society, including 2 guests, made their way on Monday 5th September to Roda Golf Resort for our September Competition.
Several members stopped en-route for a full English breakfast at a nearby Bar/Restaurant, whilst others opted for a bacon sandwich at the Golf Club Restaurant.
This month’s competition format was Pinehurst in teams of 4 with the best 3 scores on each hole counting towards the team total. The weather was rather humid as the players made their way round the course, some teams slower than others. At the conclusion of the competition the prize-giving was held outside Roda Clubhouse.
The winners with a score of 125 points were the team of Jim Niblo, Mick Daly, Russell Connley and guest, Walt Ireland.

The prizes were presented by our Captain Dave Lynch, who is off to pastures new in the next couple of months. All Society members wish him and Linda all the best for the future.
