On Monday 6th September, 24 members of LAGS travelled to Altorreal. The temperature was slightly cooler than in recent times, but it did not seem like that out on the course. Combined with the heat, the humidity certainly played a part in sapping the energy of all players as the competition progressed. The format for this competition was a Texas Scramble with six teams of four up for the challenge.
The course at Altorreal is always in very good order and a pleasure to play. It was quite obvious that a lot of maintenance had recently taken place with many Tee Boxes and associated surrounds laid with new turf. Additionally, since our last Society visit, the entrance to the Club House has also been remodelled.
Comments made of the winning team included, “Winning helped replace some lost balls and one played such an electrifying and powerful game it was; here a Bosh, there a Bosh, everywhere a Bosh Bosh.”

Our Presentation Evening was held, as usual, on Wednesday following the competition in the Camposol Club House. Bearing in mind various travel restrictions, there was an excellent attendance where we enjoyed a supper meal provided and served by the restaurant staff. Once again, our sincere thanks to all who helped in the preparation.
Our next scheduled competition will be on Monday 4th of October at Mojacar.
