On Monday 3rd February, 28 members of Los Amigos Golf Society made the journey up to Font de Llop Golf course in the Alicante Province.
The course was in excellent condition throughout, with the greens needing to be played with caution. The format for the day was a Singles Stableford Competition played in very warm sunshine, unusually warm for this time of the year. An excellent day with some good golf played by many.

One of our number, precisely who I do not know, but I believe Daryl Whitham is in a position to confirm exactly who; this normally rather cool character, in the process of hitting his ball over a lake, had the misfortune to put the ball in the water. Nothing unusual said this individual. Other mortals do the same.
Attempt number two; lo and behold, it happened again! Ah well, better luck next time!

Later came a second opportunity over another lake. This time it will be done with a little more vigour and assertiveness! Yes, sheer joy as the ball sails over the lake and is definitely going to land on dry ground. There is only one small flat rock to avoid. Ecstasy turns to sadness as the ball hits the rock and rebounds into the lake!
Err, where is the next Tee?
The Presentation Evening in the Restaurant in Camposol Club de Golf was yet again an excellent evening with our Captain Gordon Neilson presenting the prizes:
