Monday 6th January saw Los Amigos Golf Society on their way to the nearby course of Condado de Alhama. The format for our first event of 2020 was a Singles Stableford Competition with a turnout of 29 members and one guest playing. The day started off in rather cool temperatures and bright sunshine, but it soon warmed up as the day progressed. The fairways were generally excellent with the greens being described as ‘in good order’.
Condado can be a difficult course to the unwary with balls being lost or difficult to find in the quite deep semi-rough and vegetation bordering the fairways. As usual, good course management was the order of the day. Playing a less ambitious shot and keeping track of the ball is rather more preferable to knocking it out of sight then spending time looking for it.
Presenting the prizes in his new role as Captain for 2020 was Gordon Nielson.

Our Presentation Evening was held as usual in the Restaurant of Camposol Club de Golf. We would like to thank the members and their wives/partners for their excellent response in attending the presentation on a quite cold evening. Our thanks also go to the restaurant staff for the excellent food.
