On Monday 7th November, 28 members and guests found their way to Saurines de La Torre Golf for the Los Amigos Golf Society November Away Day. Two of the wives accompanied their husbands and after dropping them off at La Zenia Shopping Centre where they enjoyed a day’s shopping before being picked up again.
The course, which many had not played for some years, was in very good condition with wide green fairways and very quick undulating greens which caused problems to many who are used to flat greens at their home course.
The format for the day was a Singles Stableford with some very high scoring and very close points finish for the prize places. After completing their round, the players made their way to the bar for a welcome drink before the journey home.
