There is little activity at Mazarrón FC during May and June until pre-season training begins sometime in July. However, we understand that the President, Diego, has already been formulating his plans for the 2023/24 season and has a number of players in mind to start his squad off when the season begins in late August/September.
The season will start earlier and finish later this year as the Preferente Autonomica will consist of 18 teams, as opposed to the two groups of 12 teams last season. There will be 17 home games to watch compared to the meagre ration of 11 last season.
The AGM will be held at Mariano’s Bar & Restaurant, Camposol A on Thursday 22nd June at 4pm. There are vacancies on the Executive Committee. If anyone is interested in joining the Committee please email our Secretary, Mary Harding at marylosamigosfc@gmail.com.

We are looking to organise a function at Mariano’s, Camposol A in August. Details for this are being finalised and published in next month’s issue and on our Facebook page.
Summer Black-Tie Ball and Dinner @ Restaurante Amapola, Bolnuevo will now be held on 26th September rather than the previously announced date of 19th September. 7pm-11.30pm. There will be a welcome drink on arrival followed by a three-course meal.
Tickets €35 for members and €37.50 for non-members. Transport will be provided to and from the venue at an additional cost of €5 per person for members and €7.50 for non-members.

Los Amigos Membership runs from August each year and lasts for twelve months. Membership is €20 and members and a partner will be entitled to discount on coach travel to away games and to all Los Amigos social activities. Members only are allowed to attend monthly business meetings. During the close season and, until further notice, our weekly social gatherings will take place at the Clubhouse, Camposol Club de Golf on Thursdays at 4pm. Everyone is welcome.
