I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are now looking forward to 2023.
We had a fabulously festive last Chatterbox meeting of 2022 with mince pies, sausage rolls, cakes, a gingerbread house and of course lots of chatting. Well it wouldn’t be Chatterbox without that!
We also experienced our first visit to Licor 43, or Licor Cuarenta Tres. What a fascinating trip it was – the drink:
- Is a Spanish liqueur
- Has 43 natural ingredients (hence the name)
- The recipe is top secret!
- From start to finish it takes up to a year to produce.
- It has been in the Zamora family since 1946.

Our final event of 2022 was our Christmas Party at Restaurante Amapola. It was a brilliant afternoon – good food, good company, excellent entertainment, lots of dancing and singing! The raffle raised 195€ which will be divided amongst the charities Chatterbox supports.
Chatterbox continues to help a number of local charities through the monies raised from our raffles which are held at our afternoon meetings and special occasions such as our Christmas and Summer Parties.
We have lots of new events to look forward to. Do you fancy coming to join us? You will always be welcome.
