These two words mean so much – it is impossible to be able to express our sincere and genuine thanks to everyone who contributed towards the Rosa Caritas Christmas Toy Appeal. We never thought that when we asked for help we would get such an amazing response. We received knitted toys, jumpers, cardigans, socks, hats, blankets and then the toiletries arrived; nappies, baby wipes, talc, bath & body lotion. We were tasked with organising gifts for the youngest group – birth to two years. The results were amazing – 70 bags made by our ladies. We filled 40 bags and donated the remainder, together with toys, clothing and toiletries to Father Juanito to distribute as he felt appropriate.
With so many of you taking the time to knit for us, it is very difficult to name and thank everyone individually, but, there is one lady who I would like to personally thank – Gaynor – who we met while trying to keep in time to a Dancercise class! She had seen an earlier article in the Costa Cálida Chronicle and offered to knit toys. Oh my did she! * Gaynor you are a real star!
Then the time came for Father Juanito to see just what the fabulous ladies on Camposol had done for the children.
