In June we continued to reserve more perrera dogs and we rescued another 10 dogs from the Perrera for adoption locally and one for adoption in Holland. On 28th June we were able to transport 9 dogs rescued from the Perrera and one dog rescued by Noah’s ARC, to their new homes in Germany
This is a continuous operation only made possible by the committed efforts of loyal Association Members and the Volunteers of Helping the Perrera Dogs Group who give their time to help by walking, socialising and caring for all the dogs that unfortunately find themselves in the local Perrera. Without our boarding kennels and fosterers of our rescued dogs we could not help to prepare them for a home environment prior to them being transported to a better life with their new owners. We thank all of those involved.
The dogs that we send to their new owners in Germany and UK are all transported under the EU TRACES System as is the legal requirement prior to them travelling to their new owners or other rescue organizations in other European Countries.
The Mazarrón Perrera is opposite Mazarrón Country Club just off the motorway from Camposol to Mazarrón. If you would like to join the team and help walk and socialise the dogs to prepare them for their new homes, please call Tony on 618 034 921 or come along and have a chat to the ladies at the Table Top Stall on Thursdays on Camposol A Car Park on Market Days. This provides much-needed funds to help rescue abandoned dogs from the Perrera, so please come along to support their efforts and maybe find yourself a bargain. Any donations and unwanted saleable items can also be brought to the stall.
Our Charity Shop in Puerto de Mazarrón is always in need of donations of furniture, toys, bric-a-brac, clothing or any items considered saleable to raise funds for rescuing and rehoming abandoned dogs.
