Darwinian Gardeners
The April event for the gardening group was a visit to the new, bedding plant nursery in Atalaya. There were 27 of us and almost all of us bought a large number of well-priced plants. We then drove back to the Casa Colorá in Leiva where we had an excellent meal.

We celebrated the Spring Equinox with a game of Adventure Golf at Golf Delux in Los Alcázares. We were divided into 5 teams of 4 and all teed off sometime after 11am. The sun shone and we had a fun couple of hours. Jan Wallace took the pictures.
We then drove to the Restaurant Marea Nareja where we had a menu del día. Annie had by then added up the scores and awarded tiny gold cups to the winning team – Annie, Des, Hazel and Linda. The team which came second were awarded a prize as well – Jon, Bernice, Marilyn and Geoff.
Humanists of Murcia Walking Group
On Wednesday 15th March, Richard and Hazel led a group of 20 walkers on a walk behind Mazarrón Country Club. We met at La Taverna for a coffee and then set off. It was a beautiful walk on a lovely sunny day. We were back at our cars by about 1.30pm and then drove to Restaurante El Pilon for a menu del día.
It with great sadness that we announce that Martin Rushton died on Tuesday 11th April. He was involved with the Humanists of Mazarrón as Secretary for many years and was one of the founder members of the Darwinian Gardening Club. We offer Anne our sincere condolences
