Over recent weeks, many will have seen the plight of six puppies from a litter of eight being attacked by the deadly Processionary Caterpillars. This year appears to be the worst ever with numerous deaths of beloved dogs. We were happy to assist with the six puppies and thankfully our amazing vets Centro Veterinario Puerto de Mazarrón were readily prepared for them on arrival and were able to prevent any further damage and most certainly their death. We are now delighted that most now have forever loving homes; some by wonderful people who attended our Monthly Fayre and of course, fell in love with them. All credit to Bernadette Cook who has been caring for these puppies, even though they were not her own.
Anyone wishing to reserve a space at our next Monthly Fayre at Mariano’s can do so by calling Joanne on 634 302 388. Obviously at the time of going to print we do not know when this will be, but of course we will announce the date once it is confirmed.
Another great success was our fundraising event with a fabulous Triple Tribute Show from Benidorm featuring all the hits of Simon & Garfunkel, Everly Brothers and the fabulous Showaddywaddy, which I am sure stirred up so many memories for our guests.
We now focus on our next fundraiser; one of the biggest and most expensive we have ever attempted, featuring not one, but two, Benidorm top artistes; Il Divo PLUS the magnificent Bruno Mars Experience. The show promises to entertain all tastes. Again, at the time of going to print we are unable to say if this show will go ahead or be postponed due to CV. We will certainly adhere to government guidelines, but most certainly it will not be cancelled. In the event of postponement, ticket holders will have the choice of a refund or to hold their tickets for the new date.
