Our game for July was on the 23rd and was our first visit this year to Altorreal Club De Golf in Murcia.
On a very warm day, 24 members of Fuente Old Guard took to the fairways with high hopes of some really good golf scores and none more so than Paul Western coming back in as Overall Winner and winner of Division Two with 34 points. In second place overall and in Division Two was Roger Olorenshaw with his 31 point scorecard followed by Phil Atkinson close behind in third place with 30 points.
In Division One, Dave Mitchell took the top prize with 27 points, followed by Roy Quigley and Ken Bateman, both with 26 points; the matter decided on countback.
Meanwhile in Division Three, Roger Joy came first with 28 points, with Peter Kirke a close second, scoring 26 points.
Nearest the Pin winners were Mick Shea, Maurice Nafzger and Phil Atkinson with Maurice and Phil sharing the Two‘s Competition prizes.
