Our game for January was to the ever popular course of Aguilon Golf Resort near the coastal town of Aguilas. On a warm and sometimes windy day 40 members of the Old Guard went out to enjoy another challenging day of golf.
The overall winner was our UK based member Steve Wheeldon recording 33 points on his card which also gave him top spot in division one. Runnerup overall was Mick Shea with 32 points which gave him top spot in division two with Gerry McRobert with 31 points and Phil Leeming with 29 points coming second in their respective divisions.
Meanwhile in division three Des Locke was ahead of the rest with 29 points closely followed by Dave May and Colin Worman both with 24 points.
Nearest the pin winners were Gerry McRobert, Richard Dixon, Derek Hayward and Ian Kearns with no less than seven players able to claim a share of the twos money pot.
