Now that spring has at last sprung we can look forward to those long summer nights. FMA are hoping to provide you with lots to do on those balmy afternoons and evenings by providing fun and entertaining fund raising events for you to enjoy.
In late March we were lucky to be entertained by the wonderful Jersey Boys and then by the fabulous Alex Tipping, both sets receiving rave reviews.
In early April we hosted Jim McNail and as Tom Jones he belted out a repertoire of hits made famous by the Welsh silver fox in characteristic power vocals.
Zambuca Beach Bar and Restaurant continues to support us by putting on our musical events. We are so grateful and pleased to be able to work with the team at this fabulous bar and restaurant. Long may it continue!
We have Steve Jackson to look forward to singing a selection of songs from the 50’s and 60’s and featuring diverse genres such as Reggae and Motown. At the end of April we have a tribute to both Cher and Kylie which comes critically acclaimed; two shows for the price of one. I’ll be reporting on how they went in my next article.
Our Pop Up Stalls continue to be a massive success. We have now staged them at Zambuca, La Zagalica and most recently at Café Buenavista which had the added entertainment value of a Tombola. We’re popping up again on May 1st at Café Buenavista in El Alamillo so please come and visit us. Featuring our usual clothes and book stalls we also have the added addition of a flea/antique market, so come and grab yourself a bargain.
All of this hard work by the FMA team is done for one reason; the animals and we are inundated with requests for help daily. If you follow our Facebook page you will see the likes of wonderful Hobo who actually made the Spanish news. Rescued by the emergency services from a large well, he found himself in the Perrera. Now under our wing and in the kennels at Mountain View, he has become a proper celebrity, loved by all who meet him. He is just one of many dogs and cats we have helped this month.
